Game goes mute while focus is lost
as i did poke around in se2 earlier i could loose focus on the gamewindow while keep hearing the sound but with the vs2.2 it now goes mute while the focus is lost and after poking on the keen discord https://discord.com/channels/125011928711036928/1333465987453948015/1499470602598223882 i was told by @Dan2d3d (one of the moderators there) that they keep hearing se2 while the focus on it is lost which makes me think that i found a bug, they also advised me to open a bugreport for it.
reproduction is easy:
- enter a world
- start something that does a sound
- switch over to another window on either the same or another monitor so that focus on se2 is lost but it doesnt minimize and it goes mute
- switch back over to se2 and you can hear it again
i run on the lower end of the requirements so i expect some performance bumps but stuff working in one version but not in another is a bit more than just a performance bump.
system setup:
- asrock phantom gaming 4
- amd ryzen 5 3600
- 500gb nvme ssd, 2tb hdd, 2tb nvme ssd
- gtx-1660s
- 32gb ddr4 (4x8)
- win11
- 2 monitors with 1920x1080 each
- all periphery elements are connectet via either usb-a (mouse, keyboard, headset) or a jack connector (speakers) and the monitors are connectet via a dp-to-hdmi adapter for the older one as that one has only hdmi and vga and via dp in case of the younger one which hase some integrated speakers
the sound going mute when se2 looses focus makes it a bit problematic to react to audio that would alert someone to something not going as expectet while someone is in another window doing other things, for example reading some stuff or trying to find some references as inspirations.
I have the same bug
