Piston not being part of grid control panel

Have a piston I'm try to use for a solar panel rig, ran some conveyors say 20 blocks out from landing pad I built and no matter how I connect the piston to the conveyors it doesn't show up as part of the landing pad grid, which means no power.
I have the same bug
