This Support Site issues
Hi, there's WAY too many results in the list of topics and bugs that show up when we attempt to see if our issues were previously logged. This is causing a lot more work for all of the users and all of Keene support staff who have to filter through every post instead of simply seeing one person posted and others have the same issue.
Prime example, pretend you have a GPS bug and try to post a ticket. There's so many GPS topics and bugs that show up in the results that you could use them to make a trail from the Milky Way to the Almagest system.
Ideas for you:
1) Only show BUGS in the search results when someone types into the Title bar
2) Out of habit, users will start typing and then hit the Enter key to search, but instead it creates a new ticket on whatever they just wrote in the Title. Perhaps do not enter tickets when there's no body to the issue, or if the body text size is less than say 20 characters.
3) Keene does well in keeping up with the tickets. Perhaps resetting the ticket system on each release, at least for every vertical slice.
4) Topics and Bugs should not share the same data store. Both Keene and the Alpha testers want the most efficient bug tracking system possible. Currently, it is cluttered with people talking about "Topics". "Topics" and "Submit Bug" have individual tabs, they should also be treated as individual data stores rather than showing 6,000 pages of "GPS" topics/bugs mixed. NOBODY is going to search beyond the first page or two when submitting a bug report.
I have the same bug
