Crazy Asteroid Gravity Destruction of DOOM
During the survival campaign I had just completed the mission to fly to the asteroid and repair the smelter and other machines and then complete the 2 large batteries by making heavy plates and wires.
When I went back outside, around 1/2 the base spontaneously disappeared, including the landing pad. My ship "fell" into the terrain below where it was landed.
Digging it out was a problem - every time I removed terrain, the ship would AGGRESSIVELY dig itself further in. Finally I attached huge reversal engines and tried again. This time, after breaking free of the terrain, from around 10m above the surface, the ship immediately smashed back into the asteroid at warp speed and every block was destroyed and I was killed.
I was able to replicate this twice, and I was planning on attaching the save file, but the game auto-saved while I was dead and overwrote the file - which is a WILD function to allow to happen.
Anyway, you should investigate the spontaneous asteroid-acts-like-black-hole.
