Activating a contract removed my base

I had built a small base next to the mining station that you initially get sent to at the start of the second sector. Later on when I received a contract to help fix some uranium mining accident, the base in question was actually that first base again. Problem is that the whole asteroid apparently got re-spawned so my little base with all the materials that I had managed scrounge up just got deleted.
Not sure how to fix this but you should at least warn about starting a contract will remove grids constructed by the player.
