SE2 Contract task done out of order won't disappear

Mission: Mining platform.
A battery was welded up before the contract progressed to that step. The mission was completed at the same moment that the battery task would have been activated. I went back to the station to turn in the contract, but that did not clear the objective.
After doing all the tasks of another mission, but prior to turning it in, I went back and ground down the battery to 1% and rewelded it. The task did not clear.
I finished the last mission and jumped to Kemik, but the task marker remained.
Exit to main menu, then continue did not clear the marker.
Exit game, then return to the save does not clear the task.
