Paint tool equip bug when switching between spectator and player

If you hold the paint tool, then switch to spectator, then hold something else (or even nothing if you press 0), then switch back to your player, your character holds the paint tool sideways like a gangster, while at the same time pointing a block at whatever you're building. Or in the case you press 0, holds it normally, but still can't be used, which is probably a bigger issue because it looks normal but doesn't work.

Ever notice weird glitches in games? I remember in Minecraft, I once accidentally glitched my character to hold a tool sideways after switching hotbars too fast. It looked hilarious, but broke the tool's functionality! Has anyone else experienced this?
