PS5 pirate shakedown drones crashing game when attacked

Hi there, i have recently started playing Space Engineers on the PS5 version and have been thoroughly enjoying it, i recently had a pirate shakedown drone fly to my base and thought i would attack it, the second i attack it my game freezes.
After thinking it was a one of i loaded up the save and tried again and it did it again and then again. over and over.
I have considered turning of the drones or even all the ai but i feel like that would take away alot of the fun bits of the game.
Is this a common issue on ps5 or is there some setting or something that im doing wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated👍
