The recent Contact update (1.205) is one of the best updates I’ve seen. It significantly improves areas where the game previously lacked, like PvE, planetary encounters, and end-game content. Exploration has become much more engaging and interesting, making the overall experience richer. I’m hopeful that more encounters will be added in future updates to continue enhancing these aspects.

The UI changes, especially to the main menu and block radial menu, are great. While I’m still getting used to the new layout, it’s clear that the organization is much better, and I’m already noticing the improvements.

However, there are a few quality-of-life changes I’d like to suggest:

1. Block Radial Menu Folders: It would be great to change the placement of the decoration tabs (1-3) in the block radial menu, moving them to the far end (right side). This would streamline the menu, putting essential building blocks front and center.

Another change with the block radial menu would be to list buildable blocks first. Currently, if the first block in a category isn’t buildable, you can’t select it by pressing R1. Additionally, it would be nice to have a “Hide DLC Blocks” option, so when building a base-game (vanilla) ship, you can reduce clutter by hiding DLC blocks.

2. Controller Navigation with Cursor: A feature that allows a cursor to navigate the menus using a controller (similar to how you’d use a mouse, but controlled with an analog stick) would make menu navigation much smoother for controller players.

3. Customizable Folder Placement in Radial Menu: Even better than reorganizing the decoration folders would be adding a feature to let players customize folder positions within the block radial menu. This way, everyone could organize their menu to fit their own playstyle and preferences.

Overall, I’m really enjoying this update and am looking forward to seeing what’s to come in future releases!
