Increasing Personal PCU usage pool on keen official servers

Greetings,

I have been playing solo on an Official keen server and I have an issue of not able to make a decent base, and have a mining and cargo ship with current PCU limit. I understand the concept behind the PCU and why it was done. I ask that the Current PCU limit be doubled, Or even increased by one half of current.

The base I have is the following; Med bay, refinery, small generator, oxygen hydrogen generator, a tank for both O2 and H2, two connectors, 5 small cargo containers, 5 Conveyor junctions, smaller cockpit, random number of heavy and light blocks, 10 airtight hanger doors, And a small cargo ship maybe around 1k PCU, I am left with maybe 1200 PCU to make my miner and I can not make one that works within my current skill level. Sure I can put drills onto the cargo ship but that is not what I made it for.

I do KNOW there are ways i can reduce my PCU to make things work OR group up with someone. I am trying this from the point of a dedicated solo player approach and all.

What does the community think of maybe doubling the current (just over 6k) PCU limit to make solo players life a little better?

What issues will this change create, and what can be done to fix theses issues?

After upgrading my respawn ship and making a small miner ship and small tug ship, my PCU was tanked as well. Sure I went ahead and grinded the respawn ship down and made a stationary base with minimal components, but I feel I shouldn't have to be walking on that many egg shells just because I'm a solo player. All my ships are extremely conservative in design. My endgame was to make a liberal designed small block fighter jet to send to a planet but I couldn't. As it is now, a solo player has to limit themselves to one simple static manufacturing base (1 assembler, 1 refinery, etc.), 1 small mining ship, and then that leaves you just a couple thousand pcu to make fighting ships. Solo play is a hassle right now, the pcu limit needs to be bumped up, doubled actually. I agree 100% with the OP.

Also, to the moderators who may read this, I know the pcu limit has already been determined based on performance metrics and we're still in testing mode for the multiplayer, but I would like to provide some food for thought on this subject in terms of the importance of solo player happiness.

"The majority of people surveyed prefer solo gameplay (67%), compared to 23% who prefer multiplayer games."

And from my personal experience of watching Twitch, the majority of people playing the most popular pvp games are solo queuers. Not saying SE should cater to only pvp oriented gameplay, just giving my own observations on this subject.
