Need More Information

Greetings everyone

Since about 2-3 Days now i cant play SE 1 on my PC with a controller besides it saying its playable with controller.

The Controller overlay just starts flickering back to the PC overlay and using the radial building menu is impossible cause of it. i tried reinstalling 3 times now already and evrything else like cacheclearing and that.  Even Steam input got already deactivated since the beginning and nothing gets it going anymore.

Hope it gets fixed soon or we find a fix together.

Hello Damien,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

Could you let us know which controller you’re using? On PC, we do provide support for Xbox One and Xbox Series X controllers.

Regarding the issue you described, we do have an internal report of a similar situation. In some cases, pressing the controller’s middle Xbox button opens the Microsoft Game Bar overlay. After closing the overlay, the game may start rapidly switching between keyboard/mouse and controller input, which can prevent normal actions such as walking, flying, or placing blocks. Do you recall pressing the Xbox button during gameplay? If so, that’s very likely what’s causing the issue.

If not, could you also share how the controller is connected, wirelessly via Bluetooth or with a USB cable? If possible, please try switching the connection method and let us know if that changes the behavior.

Since, the issue is still under investigation on our side. Some players have temporarily worked around it by pressing Win + L to lock Windows and then unlocking it again. This isn’t a permanent fix, but it may help. The other only known workaround is restarting the PC.

Please let us know whether the Win + L workaround helped.

Kind regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department
