It would be nice to add the ability to quickly switch between building modes (one block, line, plane) using keyboard shortcuts or something fast, or it would take a long time and inconveniently to switch through settings or suffer inconveniences during construction. Or is there already such an opportunity?

You can already do that. Change the building mode to Line in the Game Options, then do the following to place blocks:

To place a single block, click the mouse once.
To place a line, click and drag the mouse.
To place a plane, hold down Shift while you click and drag. I usually find it easier to click and drag a line, move into the final position, then hold Shift to make a plane. Release the mouse to place the blocks.

If you want to keep Single Block building mode as your default:

To place a line, hold down Control while you click and drag the mouse.
To place a plane, hold down Control + Shift while you click and drag.

I am not sure these are documented anywhere.
