With the new AI drones coming out.

Is it possible in the future to getting a slight increase in automated weaponry/range of AI, it would suck if fighting drones could only target a 800 mile distance.
Obviously we don't want like 10000's but is it possible that a increase of range (if AI controllers especially) could be considered considering how small 800m is. (If it follows the trend).
