Covered/Encased/Armored Gyroscopes

I think the title gets the point across, I want a gyroscope that has more that one point of connection to the rest of the grid. Honestly I could very realistically see a 'covered' gyroscope much like the new covered conveyors with one space open to access the control panel. It would help a in the survivability department of ships as gyroscopes could be mounted to other blocks.
