I've noticed a few missing block interactions from SE1 that would be largely beneficial in SE2, a major one would be for landing gears, adding a toggle lock state function back to timers.


sub grid blocks cannot be grouped, so to have landing gears on extending legs, or a support leg system for a lift truck I have to add multiple timers to individually add each sub grid piston or landing gear for a stability lock system.


block parameters in timers/event controller/seat controls have no explanation, resulting in new players always having to leave the game to look up what something means. while learning is always good, breaking the flow of the game constantly is not, perhaps an in game guide explaining what each of these does to help unfamiliar players be able to explore all the systems of the game. 2 of the titles of the parameters are cut off on some displays, possibly implement text wrapping or scaling text sizes to accommodate not showing all text on screen, or a hover over feature that displays hidden text.


direct control over pistons/hinges from the control seat is amazing! however it controls all like blocks on the grid, which is bad since my support legs that were mag locked to the ground on my new lift truck also retracted when I was playing with the main lift boom, resulting in my truck almost getting split in half. implementation of singular block control is highly required, grouping blocks for multi block synced control as a bonus.
