Middle-mouse button to copy targeted block

There is already another post on here about his (https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers2/pc/topic/46046-middle-click-pick-block-instead-of-repaint-block) but it didn't seem to get much traction, so I want to see if I can bring this back into discussion.
I really feel like the Middle-Click action should copy the block we are currently targetting. It's just common practice in most building games, from Minecraft to Satisfactory, and I see no reason why it should have a different action in SE2.
Now, I know we can technically already do this by hitting Ctrl+P and selecting only one block, but honestly, I think that's too clunky and convoluted a solution for what should really be a quick and easy action to perform.
