NPC Stations steal ice when docked

I started a new game and flew to Vellaris Station, and after docking I noticed my ice leaving my h2 generators and moving into the stations generator automatically. This should not be!

yes this works. if your generator is switched off, the stations dont use your supply to fill their tanks.

this only happens if you have used the stations tanks to fill your own. and they only refil what you have taken.... it seems almost fair like hydrogen is so common a resource that it has open trade by default... would be interesting to have two large stations and see if one stations supply fills anothers shortage to match their own potential supply, or if it just fills their tanks as much as it can.

It's not a transparent transactional system. If anything, the station could charge credits for H2 refills, but not steal from the docked ship's inventory... They should also have a private cache of ice to restock their station tanks.

im not disaggreeing with your observations. and you are absolutely right, stations shouldnt just syphon your stashe. its probably just an alpha thing and all stations are set to automatically fill tanks, use whatever ice is connected to them for that purpose.

the interesting thing about this is that from my observations, they do not pull from the trade terminal like i would assume they would. eventually that could create a decent economy dynamic where the stations ice supply is low, and they are offering a premium for ice (or eventually water)
