Pistons and hinges (small and big) please need more power to lift and move things.

In my world for testing, I built an oshkosh(truck with arm pallet system) with small decoration grid cubes nice, but as soon as you want to add carjacks to lift and change something or repair under or pallet load system with hinges and pistons(as in real predloze I give a link). But to go around the whole vehicle with 40 smallpistons to lift him is ridiculous :D.

And the vehicle doesn't look good ... Ilove small grid its fantastic thank you and other things nice. I have a truck that doesn't lift anything at all, can you look at pistons and hinges and add more power to them. Please

Both small and big hinges get only 1MN of torque (Mega newtons)

While pistons get 25MN, and 100MN (that is a lot, like lifting 2500 or 10 000 tons of stuff)

maybe hinges could at least match pistons?

I think piston, hinges and rotors are way too weak, and the small version are bending and falling apart way too easily.

They are too weak yo jack up a rover or turn it over if it got turned over.

To weak for mining rigs.

I tried build a foldable solar array with hinges, but travel direction kept messing up, and there's no way to group them as SE2 turns a grid into a group.

I guess these are things that will be fixed as the game progresses, but all the mechanical blocks, are currently too weak to be of much use.

hang on, you basically made a grapling arm? with what, a landing gear on the end of it so you could attach it to a container and hoist it onto the back of a truck? i would very much like to see how you did that, im guessing landing gear on a hing on the end of a piston, connected to a hinge on the end of a piston on a hinge connected to your vehicle?

Well no.

First i tried making the classic rover with a mining arm, with a small rotor, hinges and pistons. As resources on Verdure are typically at 80-100m depth, however the hinge started detaching and the arm started drooping after a few pistons was connected so I tried with large components instead.

That went just as bad, as the main hinge couldn't raise the arm, with barely 2 pistons connected.

Remember you don't get 1MN on the hinges you get 1MNm, meaning for two extended large pistons you get 1MNm / 30m that a bit over 3t of carrying capacity. Furthermore while you can control hinges from the toolbar, I wouldn't let me control them individually, which made it even more unfeasible.

It also seems like a 'share inertia tensor' like option is on by default. I just made landing gear out of small hinges that won't unfurl at all.

Whoops, meant to post on the main thread but now it won't let me delete.
