Park function for gyros

Sometimes I jump into the pilot seat and accidentally flick the mouse rotating my vessel unnecessarily.
If the park function could affect the gyros too this would be helpful.
I may have my ship stopped near an asteroid so that I can go hand mining and would like it not to move at all, even when I am in the pilot seat.
So can I park in free space?
I know that this is possible to do manually, pressing 'p' would be better.

I like this idea. Also very helpful when transporting smaller ships to prevent their gyros fighting against movement of the carrier.
In SE1 I used event controller to disable/enable gyros on connector lock/unlock, and basically if I feel more blocks could support "Parking" action (lights, batteries, tanks, reactors) because why not?

Even if it isn't default on/off I think I would like Park or Station mode to be a toggle and you can have Gyros, Engines turn on/off, as well as have batteries/tanks go into charge mode.
Just thinking of having each block or a block group have a 'toggle when parked' option.
