Remote Quest Completion Possibilities
One thing Space Engineers 2 really needs is remote quest completion. Being forced to fly all the way back to a terminal just to turn in a contract feels outdated, especially in a game that’s all about advanced engineering and futuristic technology.
We’re building reactors, jump-capable ships, and automated systems, yet contracts still rely on “return to the desk and press the button” logic. It breaks immersion and turns longer contracts into unnecessary backtracking rather than meaningful gameplay.
A great solution would be a buildable communication block, something like a radio transmitter or data relay. You’d still need infrastructure and planning, but once you have the tech, you could complete contracts remotely from your ship or base. That would fit the theme of Space Engineers perfectly and turn progression into something you actually engineer instead of just tolerate.
Right now it feels like old game design in a world that’s supposed to be far ahead of us. Let us solve the problem the Space Engineers way.
