Feature Request: control panel with 3d component location view
I know this would technically be a challenge, but the control panel can become a bit chaotic so this could help with that.
So maybe at a option (seperate window or intergrated inside of the control panel) for a 3d hologram view of the whole grid where components can be hovered uppon to see the name and clicked to select them and edit settings for them.
It could also be an option to only make the 3d view with the components that can be edited and just skipping the normal grid blocks (would maybe be less resource intensive, but still give a clearer look at the location of components/grid layout). This would be really help if you know where a component is but not the name or vice versa. Also external connected grids like ships could be shown in a different color
