Add option to switch between target based grid control and how we currently fly ships in se1

As good as the new flight system is, it just feels less responsive to me than how we currently have it in se1 and it would be nice to give us the option to switch between the two

I also want a toggle, I hate the new mechanics and feel that they're very bad. I tried to split the blue ship several times, after failing several times I quit the game in frustration. The new mechanics are bad and I want it back the way it was.

+1 - I like the new turning and definitely see its use in larger, slower turning ships, though I'd like to have the precision of the older turning when performing fine manoeuvres, such as docking.

Yes, and this toggle should be dynamic. E.g. you would cruise in target based mode and then land the old way, because target based mode is way to sensitive for precise landing maneuvers and aligning with other objects.

I second this, I like the new mode (besides the overly powerful roll that needs fixing) for smooth flight but when I want to line up my ship to a landing pad or another ship I often want to pan my camera around to better see what I'm lining up too, aside from having to really steady my hand to do small adjustments, if I have the camera pointing at the thing I'm lining up too it puts the target pointer is off the screen and that's quite unhelpful.

I wanna add and make clear that in the event that they refuse to support multiple control systems i 1000% prefer the original classic way of SE one. The new way is unpalletable in the vast majority of circumstances. I will not be able or willing to play the game if any version of this new control system is mandatory.

I am personally a fan of the new ship controls but i'm also a pretty consistent War thunder and Star Citizen player and this is more similar to that.

I like the new flight mechanics though it does need tweaking but nevertheless having more options to customise game to ones liking is never bad.

I have to agree about needing an option, I didn't like this style flight mechanic in the 90's, it's less responsive, slower and clumsier than what we had in SE1. It being the only control setup in SE2 makes it feel like the game is going backwards, like the tech of our ships is older than it was, closer to what we have in real life, not the more advanced tech that we might have in 100+ years that matches what we are building.
