NPC shift patterns
NPCs need time off to rest and socialise.
Seeing an NPC behind a desk or standing guard 24/7 takes away from a living world, they need a break and require another NPC to cover their post when away. NPCs require bathroom breaks, screen breaks, exercise and need to visit the vending machine occasionally. Some NPCs even need to sneak off to do some side gigs occasionally. They need to sleep, read their duty lists, meet with other NPCs and participate on their duty shift(work).
Not all NPCs are brave, some would like to live another day, but will defend themselves if cornered or would like to surrender. A few NPCs are authoritative, and tell you and other NPCs what to do.
NPCs like working and appreciate being given general and specific duties.
A few NPCs yearn to see the world and are pleased to run errands between GPS locations, though they may talk too loudly about their adventures when socialising.
One of NPCs favourite hobbies is to take bets on the number of times that you are re-cloned in one day.
Lists required for: Normal duties, special tasks, mundane tasks, reserve duties, off duty tasks, break time task.

Coll idea really. Hireable or quest NPCs with their needs will make game more interesting. I dream of human-like NPCs which will make quest scenarios even more exciting.
