Basic Assembler / 1kW is not the minimum

In comparison to the basic refinery the basic assembler is not able to produce anything with 1 kW.

It seems like the shown info text or the power consumption is wrong here...

none of the blocks can do anything with 1kw. If you only have 1kw of power input, it is stored in batteries until you have the required amount for a production cycle. This number appears to be the 'max required' in most cases. The machines don't run slower, they just run when they have available power.

The basic refinery is able to work - slowed down with stuttering, but still working.

The basic assembler should show the same behavior. (IMHO)

Otherwise it does not make sense to show the minimum requirement within the info-tab.

Anyway, thanks for your reply, Tim.

you cant melt iron ore using 1 kw of power, so im sorry, but no. If you need like 500 kw on your heating elements, 1 kw will do not enough to melt ore. thus any usage below minimal level that melts ore loaded into refinery is not enough to trigger cycle.

Yeah, I agree with denseacat and Tim Hagen - i am mistaken here.

The described behavior observed during these public test (long ago) was not intended i guess.

My resulting conclusion was wrong.
