Game crashes instantly when create/join online save on PS4

The game crashes instantly when I try to create/join an online save. I've already tried many ways of fixing it, but I've got no results. Single player works normally, though.

I've saw some reports of the same error, but it was set as "not a bug" and advised to follow the PS4 guide for this error. I've tried it too, but the game is still crashing down. I've even tried to reinstall the whole game.

Sometimes, the game loads till 20% or 44% percent then crashes.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching our forum. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues.

Could you please let us know if it's happening in a specific save or any world? Are any mods being used? Could you also let us know what PS4 system error message you're seeing, if any?

Could you please submit a log for us? Please follow these steps:

  • Reproduce the issue by starting a new Earth Planet world without mods in the Online mode
  • Navigate to the Help Screen via F1 or Triangle button from the Main Menu or Pause Menu
  • Select the Send Log tab
  • Fill any information in the text field and press Send Log
  • Post the same information you've put in the text field into this thread so we can find your log file

Kind Regards,

The error happens in any save or world. I've just tried again to start a new save with just the online option enabled, but the game is still crashing on 20%.

I'm not able to report a log to due to the fact that the game crashes before the world being loaded. I'll send a log with this exact text, but from the game main menu. I've been able to send a problem report from PS4 system when the game crashed some weeks before. I'll send a new one due to the fact that I can't submit a log for you. The report will contain a screenshot shot and a videoclip of the error moment.

All my attempts to create/join a save were done with just the online option enabled since the beginning.

Hello Engineer,

We've received your logs. However we're seeing some errors indicating connectivity issues. Could you please perform the system connectivity test for us and post the results?

To check the PS4's connectivity, go to Settings > Network and select Test Internet Connection. This will run a test to see if your console can connect to the internet and PlayStation Network.

Hello!

I've been making many connectivity test since the beginning. It was the first thing that I thought when the errors started. However, it's also happens with a friend of mine that has a much more powerful internet than me. The bug happens when we try to create or join an existent or new save.

Maybe the last multiplayer update might have created this error?

I've just made another connectivity test to send you the results:

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for the screenshot.

We can recommend the following steps:

  • Turn the console fully off and unplug it from power for at least one minute
  • Reinstall the game, including deleting Saved Data fully(this is important). To preserve your saves/blueprints/scripts you can publish them to mod.io(private visibility is also available if needed)
  • If previous steps haven't helped, try rebuilding the database by following the steps in this PS guide:
    https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/error-codes/ps4/ce-32869-8/
  • If all else fails, reset your PS4 to the factory settings using Initialize PS4.

I've already tried all those solutions, except initializing the PS4. So I'm going to try this one. However, what do I do if it doesn't work?

As I've said before, I tried many ways to get the solution for this error, but I've got no success. So I decided to contact you.

Hello again!

I've made the last suggestion you've given to me, but it hasn't also get any good result. The game is still crashing when I try to create or join an online save.

My friend, who was suffering from the same error since the beginning, has just bought a PS5. Today he tried to create an online save and it did great. The didn't crashed. So probably the error is only for the PS4 version. Neither mine nor his PS4 are being able to create or load/join an online save.

Hope you figure out the issue soon. I'm eager to play your game again!

Hello Engineer,

There's one more step we can recommend. Please try fully restarting the router to which your console is connected. Unplug the power cord and wait for at least 30 seconds and then let it fully boot.

Please let us know if this helps.

Hello,

I've just tried restarting the router as recommended, but I've got no results as well. Nothing has changed and the game is still crashing.
