Safe Zones diameter/dimensions and HUD improvements

Hello,


Here is something I hope could be a thing without breaking the game performances. It has also been mentionned during the last stream with Marek before the update release.


It would consist in increasing drastically the maximum diameter/dimension of the safe zones to, for example, 150/160km max so it could englobe a whole planet and its atmosphere.


The purpose of that would be to help server owners that want to have safe planets entirely so they can set up their server with both PvP and PvE, all this with an in-game feature allready implemented without bothering with all the scripts it needs to work alternatively.

Such dimension would allow us to have a whole planet for PvE for example, and same thing about the rectangle, to set, let's say, "safe routes/corridors" between two PvE destinations.


About the HUD improvement, I think it has already been mentionned in another ticket, but it would be to have a checkbox to hide or not the Safe Zone limits, especially if having such a huge Safe Zone would happen, having the 3D effect around it would be somewhat a problem. The messages poping up are enough in my opinion.

I agree with you, a checkbox or a value gauge for opacity will be great !

Being able to hide the limits is no brainer, but I also like the idea of having a very minimal emissive light for the planet to planet highways.

Add to the safe zone functionality that...

[Ctl]+[mouse left button] To enable exact size of the Safe Zone. We have this feature for lights. It works pretty well. It would be nice if it worked for Planets as well.

Hell, if Keen Software House is feeling lazy, all they have to do is make it so that powered Beacons act as safe zones when all Faction members are offline.

Hi guys, we are sorry but we dont plan this feature for SE1. More, planetary large sized safezones would need different technical approach than we use now.

What about the opacity thing? It would be nice to have invisible safe zones.
