Connectors don't work

Won't Fix

Literally that's it. They stay white and don't turn yellow when you get close, unable to connect. It's a connector on a small ship and a connector on a base. This is a gamebreaking bug for me personally. It has been in the game for literally eight entire years, since the game has been released. I keep quitting because of this bug, and trying the game again every few months/years, and the same problem persists.

Here are the things I have tried:

- reconnecting to the server

- restarting my game

- restarting my computer

- grinding and rewelding the connectors

- completely removing and rebuilding the connectors

- checking that I own both grids with connectors

- checking that both connectors are powered

- checking that both connectors are turned on

- more hours of Google than I have in the actual game

I have the same bug
